These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of AureumCore, the practice-management platform operated by Aureum Technologies LLC (“Aureum,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account, clicking “I agree,” or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a firm or organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.
AureumCore provides software for legal professionals: matter and client management, document storage and review, time tracking, billing and trust accounting, e-signature workflows, a client portal, and AI-assisted document tools. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
You must provide accurate account information and keep it current. You are responsible for activity under your account and for safeguarding your credentials. Each paid seat is for a single named user; seats may not be shared. We offer two-factor authentication and recommend you enable it for every user.
New firms may start with a free trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins and the payment method on file is charged for the plan and seat count you selected. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You can change your plan or seat count, or cancel, from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
As between you and Aureum, your firm owns all matters, client records, documents, and other content you put into the service (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to provide and support the service. We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use it to train AI models. You can export Your Content at any time while your subscription is active.
AureumCore is a tool, not a law firm, and using it does not create an attorney-client relationship with us. You remain solely responsible for your professional and ethical obligations, including competence, confidentiality, conflicts checking, trust-accounting rules, and meeting deadlines. Calendar entries, deadline reminders, and AI output are aids, not substitutes for your professional judgment.
Some features use an AI model that runs on infrastructure we control; Your Content is not sent to third-party AI providers and is not used to train any model. AI output can be incomplete or wrong. You must review AI-generated summaries, analyses, and drafts before relying on them, and you are responsible for any use you make of that output.
When you invite clients or third parties (such as co-counsel or advisors) to a portal, data room, or signing request, you are responsible for who you invite and what you share. Invited users must also comply with the parts of these Terms that apply to them.
You agree not to misuse the service, including by attempting to breach security or tenant isolation, accessing data that is not yours, reverse-engineering the platform, uploading malware, or using the service to violate the law or infringe others’ rights.
We work to keep the service available and back it up daily, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance and will try to minimize disruption. Support is provided through the channels described on our site.
The AureumCore platform, software, and brand are owned by Aureum and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service; they do not transfer any ownership in the platform to you.
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free or that AI output will be accurate.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aureum will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
You agree to indemnify Aureum against claims arising from Your Content, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
You may cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms or non-payment. After termination, you will have a reasonable period to export Your Content, after which we may delete it in line with our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Aureum Technologies LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
